Hi all,
if dealing with electronics and radiation, you have two possibilities:
1. make the chip and its process scale so small, that any ionizing
particle leaves less charge deposited.. thats why modern circuits are
quite rad hard.
2. try to avoid radiation as possible.. so apply shielding. This can
kill the low energy particles (this is why tantalum is used, higher
density with slightly lower atomic number). But any high energy particle
will knock right through producing additionally secondary particles..
So chosse either one.. hi!
