PSK-31 Uplink propogation
More thoughts on the PSK-31 Sat Transponder (10m up, 70cm FM down):
It seems like a good dead-band item. If 10m is "open" that means signals
are being bent by the Ionosphere back to earth, and thus, not much is
getting up to space. Thus, we should not have big problems with
over-the-horizon propogation and interference to the uplink.
But when the band is dead (little or no ionosphereic bending), then the
energy punches right through and the satellite will hear it.
A rather simplistic assessment, but it will be interesting to see...
