Re: G-5400B Vs G-5500

The 5500 differs from the 5400 thus:

1). It comes with a bolt to go through the pole to stop it twisting in the
wind, ... good!

2). It has south stop and 450 deg azimuth range rather than 360, ... good
for AO-40 in the northern hemisphere.

3), it has nice connectors at the mast rather that screw terminals!

4). An off black finish rather than green!

5). I've bought 2 5500 units in the last 9 months (after my 5400 failed
after 10 years - The elev rotor motor burnt out). I wish there were some
alternate suppliers, .... it seems that anything I buy from Yaesu needs
fixing soon after purchase, ... that said who else is there for az/el
rotors?
