Hello dear friends,

I have a plan for an AO-40 contest to be held on 16 & 17 January 2003 (Orbit
#1016 & #1017).
The main objective for this event, is to persue as many Amateur Satellite
enthusiast as possible to make use this incredible Sat.
And also, by the meantime, to accelerate the award chaser collecting their
DXCC countries.

The rough idea for the contest is as follows:
1. It is for 2 orbit (#1016 & #1017) to make sure both coverage on each
place (west & east pass).
2. Uplink can be U or L
3. Parameter Exchange: DXCC country prefix (eg. YB) , Squint Angle (eg. 10)
, Range in thousand KM (eg. 57 for 57,000KM).
4. Scoring formula is: QSO * Squint * Range * Multiplier (Squint & Range is
taken from the other station).
5. Multiplier: New DXCC country (or State for USA) is 3. others is 1.

Please share your opinion about this matter, either by private mail or thru
this list.
