That's a great way to make friends. Give them what you have.  They will be
your friends forever as long as you still are passing out what they want.
As soon as it is all gone or you are no longer willing to give, it's "bye
bye friend".

I commend Dave, K2DH on his response to the commercial interest that wanted
him to help them take over the 2400 band in Texas.  "I told them politely to
go to Hell..."  That's exactly what these freeloading commercial interests
need to hear.  They are using public frequencies for free and don't even
have to pay for a license, and they want to displace the current users of
the band.  That does not sound like the kind of people I want to be friends
with.

I'm afraid we are only hearing the beginning of this.  When a big company
like Microsoft or an industry group starts putting the pressure on our
lawmakers to require us to not interfere with them, or to take away the band
altogether, how are we going to fight the millions and billions they have in
their war chests?  It will be tough, but the way to start is not by
appeasement.
