Hi Gang,

I found the answer to my patch antenna questions. See Amsat Journal 
March/April 1993,
"AMSAT Phase 3D Antenna Design Review - Phase 3D HF/UHF/Microwave 
Antennas by  Stan Wood & Dick Jansson." Nice, concise explanation of 
patch antenna design.

I knew there was a reason I kept those old journals around ;^)
