not enough hands?

There's no way that i've figured out to hand-hold an antenna, control a radio, and still log at the same time.

Here's an easy way to keep one hand free for logging while holding an Arrow antenna. First, use a headset so you don't need to hold the microphone/HT. Second, use a remote PTT switch on the handle of the Arrow antenna. Or use a VOX headset. Except for the 2-4 times you change the HT channel, one hand is free to write, scratch yourself, wipe sweat, swat flies, etc.

If you don't want to homebrew a remote PTT switch, buy a Pryme HT headset with the remote PTT switch accessory. The PTT switch has a Velcro strap that can attach to the handle of an Arrow antenna.

I haven't used a headset and remote PTT switch to make FM satellite contacts. But I use a headset and remote switches for HF SSB bicycle-mobile operation. I keep both hands on the handlebar while operating the radio - left thumb controls PTT, right thumb controls up/down tuning.
