First off, do you have a preamp on 70cm? Unless you have a short coax run a
preamp is highly desirable on Mode J. Second, I'd recommend not using the
frequency control on the Fujisats. Most ops don't use it, and we have to
chase those that do around the band. Just leave your transmit in one place
and tune the receive to call cq or during a qso. From the sound of it you
are just a little deaf on 70 cm. Listen for the beacoins at 435.795 +/-
doppler. FO-20 is a solid tone, and FO-29 is telemetry. Check the
connections, and consider a preamp, preferably mast mounted.
I've never had much luck on RS15, but 29.327 is a _long_ way out of the
passband. I'm sure you were hearing an image of some sort.
Your uplink is excellent. Did you hear yourself at all? That's the best sign
if your station is working right...and don't sweat it, lots of folks have
problems on Mode J to begin with.
