Well I've been on satellite a grand total of 2 weeks - and all afternoon
today. Conclusion: not a lot of operators ... at all ! Called for 30 mins
on an overhead pass on RS-15 - no joy. Interesting separation though. Found
myself quite a bit lower than predicted on the chart. I was transmitting
145.878 and clearly heard myself on 29.327 (rather than 29.374 as
predicted). Basically the same on FO-20 and nobody's home on ISS ! Not even
packet bursts. I even checked to see if I was on a dummy load or something.
I was able to hear myself on AO-40 last night - very cool. But I'm getting
tired of talking to myself -if you know what I mean. C'mon guys, get on the
birds !
