RE: Yaesu Rotor REPLY

Paul,
Interesting question: I just purchased a new 5500 motor (EL) from Yaesu.
They said on the phone that there was no such, and they sold me a 5400
motor. It looks the same but it appears that the gear mounted on the motor
is slightly different. Both have 12 teeth, however the diameter of the 5400
is about 50% greater than the old 5500. Shaft size also looks smaller... I
have yet to try to install.

Hi Group,

Does anyone know if the motor used in the elevation rotor of the G5400 is
the same as the one used in the elevation rotor of the G5500?

Cheers
