I know that Icom's 1.2 ghz mast-mount preamp was designed for use with the
IC-910H and the IC-1271A. I was just wondering if the voltage outputs were
the same for their rigs as the Yaesu FT-736R, such as current level, whether
the preamp needs a positive or negative feed up the coax, etc. If I found an
AG-1200 at a reasonable price, can I make it work with an FT-736R? Looks
like it might be a good choice, since one site I found says it can handle up
to 15 watts. A lot of the 23cm preamps seemed to be designed for receive
only applications.
