On a related note,

I have a 1000 mAH NiMH battery from Maha.  I find that if I forget to 
charge it right after running it down, the first charge after does not run 
quite so long.  It seems like I need to charge it repeatedly, to get the 
full capability out of it.

I use the Maha quick charger with it.
