FO-20 _sometimes_ turns off towards the end of an eclipse. The batteries are
not totally gone, they just have trouble making it through a long eclipse,
especially with heavy traffic. Luckily FO 20 is in a higher orbit than other
LEOs and sees lots of sunshine for most of the orbit.

I agree with the preamp recommendation wholeheartedly.
