re CATV Hardline for 1.2 Ghz Uplink

Years ago when I put my first Satellite station together to work AO-13 I
came across ZD Engineering. I also came across tons of FREE 7/8" CATV
Hardline. I ordered some of W8ZD's matching stubs (ZD Engineering)and I was
on the way to completing my station. They worked great! I still have them
to put them back into use again but need to get the tower backup. Anyway...
For what it is worth they worked great for me. I don't know if he is still
in business or not but here is a link I found for him:
http://www.repeater-builder.com/rbtip/zdengineering.html . I used them on
2m and 440Mhz but see no reason why it would not do a great job on 1.2Ghz.
As has been stated before if you find the guy in charge of the hardline for
the CATV near you just ask him for some and usually they will give it to you
for FREE! They have a lot of ends on the spools they can't use. And for
those wondering No I have no affiliation. Just a satisfied customer. 73...

I wonder if anyone has used 1/2""alum hardline - 75 Ohm for a uplink coax?
If so what is your maching section like to change the 75 ohms to 50 ohms?
