RUDAK on Aug 6

Testing continued on the DSP modulators this morning - at 0445 local :(
Five new DSP code chunks were uploaded and tested. Some go one step
further than previous tests and utilize more of the hardware. A couple
were tested with some success and two didn't work quite as
expected. Another test was done on the 153k6 modulator to characterize its
behavior when the encoder is on, scrambler off and bits are being sent to
it. Again we ran out of time in the window while uploading code that will
send bits to one of those DSP modulators. Work may continue tomorrow
depending on the results of some off-line tests.
The -33 dB carrier at 11.1 IF was off for nearly all of the window while
that modulator was being used to test code. It was set up again at about
1245 U.
Work continues full speed to build a specialized DSP test bed for use in
developing and testing code on the ground. The objective remains to create
links using the DPSs that can be accessed with reasonable equipment.
