PCSat and THD7E

Last year at the AMSAT-UK Colloquium, I won a Kenwood THD7E in the
raffle, but as I already had a Kenwood TH-79E, the new HT didn't get
much of a look in. At this years Colloquium (last weekend) my interest
in the THD7E was refreshed partly by the PICSAT paper and partly by
the number of similar HT's around the Colloquium.

So had a surf around the PCSat and APRS web sites,
programmed a couple of frequencies in the HT and then checked the KEPS
to see if/when PCSat would be around. Just as I went out
into the backyard, the HT burst into life with packet on that frequency,
with what appeared to be a very strong signal and over the next 5
minutes or so it got stronger and then gradually faded away.

I sent a few beacon packets up, but I doubt that they were picked up by
PCSat, as the HT was running on the standard battery and antenna.
