Hi AMSATs,
I am still travelling and I've been of the internet for about a week.
I looked up at the AMSAT-BB and I seen the discussion about the failure (?)
of the AO40 engines. In my opinion it is an hobby and all we do is
experimental !!!
When it is no hobby then we better can use the commercial cell-phones...
Then I think it would be better to get some help from rocket amateurs or
engeneers that are experienced with rockets. I don't know the whole story
about the Ao40 engines, but I think the Ao40 team was very well trained in
electronics, but maybe less with rocket engines. Many parts are from ASTRIUM
company I've heared, but like in the electronical world, you can have the
most high-tech components but you still have to know how to install/use
them.
Maybe it would be interresting to have some cooperation with rocket
amateurs, or even with well trained rocket design engeneers. I believe they
really would like to help, and there must be also real expert rocket
amateurs, like electronical experts .-)
