RE: Part 15 Wi-FI
Hi Bill,
Has anyone had any problems talking to AO-40 due to 802.11b gear?
>> I have a wireless network in my house, which has a Netgear Access Point
mounted on the wall at around the same height as my AO-40 tripod. I use a
60cm offset dish for the downlink, with a 3731 downconverter. I've not had
any problems with the 802.11b signal causing interference to my AO-40
system, although the dish is pointing away from the access point most of the
time.
>> If there were any interference here, I'd expect it to be fairly
negligible as we are only allowed to run 30mW WiFi unlicensed in the UK. One
thing that maybe worth a try if interference becomes a problem, is to alter
the channel you are using for WiFi - thus the frequency it is using.

Richard
