On 145MHz I use 1/2 wave vertical folded J-pole (Slimjim), up 7mtrs,
12m RG58 coax to IC-290a.. Tune to 145.976 on AOS for Mode "B" Beacon,
RX passband 145.925MHz - 145.975MHz, very loud!

On 29MHz 3m loaded whip on edge of roof, 6m RG58 coax, pre-amp to
Yaesu 7700 Rx. Tune to 29.503MHz on AOS for Mode "A" beacon, RX passband
29.400MHz - 29.500MHz.

Sometimes beacon on 435.113MHz but I have never heard this in ZL.

Cheers,

Q: Give an example of a fungus. What is a characteristic feature?
A: Mushrooms. They always grow in damp places and so they look like
       umbrellas.
