Hello AO-7 users,
Just heard something different. The 70cm beacon was
transmitting a
strong, continuous carrier. It wobbled a bit (and went
quiet for
a moment) when it was over the northern part of VK but came
good
as it travelled south. I have heard the 'two tone' CW
before but
this was new - at first I thought it was someone tuning up
nearby.
Nothing heard on 2m and nothing heard on 10m until it was
south of VK.
Would it be possible that the 10m beacon turned on? I was
listening for it for much of the pass (max El of 51 degrees)
switching
between a vertical and a di-pole.

The 10m beacon was sending slow CW:
100 178 1 9 159
298 201 205 254
374 361 332 353
440 440 445 447
540 504 553 553
603 610 601 651
