Hmmm... thank you for all your input! Interesting that Kenwood (via their
online support email address) says the radio will not do cross band
duplex.

I looked at the IC-W32 and it looks quite interesting. Seeing it available
for purchase leaves me with a choice of IC-W32 vs. TH-D7A...
