RE: LHCP/RHCP Oscar -E
Gunther,
It is a long story but we are investigating what it will take to change
the mechanical configuration of the mounting surfaces on the base plate
so that we can have RHCP. This was an issue at the latest project
review meeting a few weeks ago.

Subject: [amsat-bb] LHCP/RHCP Oscar -E
While reading the story on Oscar-E in the May/June issue of the AMSAT
Journal, I notice in the block diagram that all the UHF antennas are
LHCP. Is there a standard in the satellite community that suggests this?
In the commercial world I think we try to stick to RHCP. Not the end of
the world, but I am interested in how LHCP was decided upon. 73 Gunther
