[amsat-bb] LHCP/RHCP Oscar -E

While reading  the story on Oscar-E in the May/June issue of the AMSAT
Journal, I notice in the block diagram that all the UHF antennas are LHCP.
Is there a standard in the satellite community that suggests this? In the
commercial world I think we try to stick to RHCP. Not the end of the world,
but I am interested in how LHCP was decided upon.
