Mike,
I use a 15 turn Helix (Home brew) driven by my Icom 910H /w/ 1Ghz module
driving a 65 watt brick... The package works great at low squint angles. The
1.2Ghz receive antenna is much more directional than the 70cm, thus, squint
is a bigger issue. Also, the squeaking lady is not present on L band.
