Re: drifting

heres how i do thing.

not sure if its the correct method, or most popular, but with a 736 that has
less than perfect cat control, what can you expect :).

when i hear someone calling cq, i move to his sig to a freq i prefer to hear
it at (normaly quite high pitched, i hear better when its higher :). i
normaly have both the rx and tx locked together, so all i need to do is move
the tx to his freq. then i just move the tx to keep my voice sounding how i
like to hear it (high again :).

same sort of thing when i call cq, move to a clear part of the band (try to
give 10khz clearence if possible) then just tune my voice up and all.
then when someone comes back i move the rx to how i like to hear it trying
to keep the tx near to what the other person tuned up too.

dont know if thats how most people do it with baddly implemented cat
control, but thats how i do it :).

Speak to you later.
