PLEASE....don't ask....the answer is likely to be NO. If we don't ask, we
can ask for forgiveness for our error as opposed to explaining why we
deliberately used it (or lost the use of it.)

The WORST possible thing to do right now is to ask permission. If you are
uncomfortable doing it, then just don't do it. Don't wreck it for the rest
of us, who have worked with bureaucrats most of our lives and know what
happens when you ask them permission for anything even slightly out of the
ordinary.

So, yes, LOTS of have people have thought about asking....and figured out
right away that it would be a dumb thing to do.
