AO-40 Mode-VL/S Report yesterday

Hello This is Yoshi JF6BCC.

I tried to QRV at the chance of AO-40 Mode-V/S of 1505-1540z 26th-Jun.
I used my 2m 6 element holizontal-polarized YAGI (20 degrees fixed elevation
for FM birds use) with 40W output for uplink, and used my standard AO-40
reeiving system for downlink.
I could find my signal easyly but it was quite weak. I called CQ on CW
and made a contact with JE2VVN (L-Up) by 419-419. I heard some JA & NA
stations but most of them were not strong.

My system will not be enough for V up. I world like to put more power
but the 50W output is the legal limit of JA hams (except EME). I will try
to make a better antenna in this weekend for next chance.
And, I used 2m for both TX and RX-IF last night. I was afraid about
the masking problem on 2m RX by 2m Tx, but I could not feel that. My 2m
YAGI is located about 15 meters away from 2.4GHz 80cm Dish and conv. so
maybe I was lucky.

Anyway, Which is the next chance "wednsday"? I hope (2) is that.

(1) 2-Jul.(TU) 2357z(MA=120) ~ 3-Jul(WE). 0033z(MA=128) on Orbit 769.
(2) 3-Jul.(WE) 1904z(MA=120) ~ 3-Jul(WE). 1940z(MA=128) on Orbit 770.
