RE: Kenwood TH-D7A (G) Help Request

You can not program split memories in the TH-D7. You must program the uplink
memory in the A band and the downlink in another memory channel in the B
band. It is very easy to operate this radio with one hand. The only buttons
you need for satellite operation are the PTT (to transmit), the Jog (to
change memory channel for doppler correction), the A/B band (to switch
between bands when you correct doppler) and the volume knob. I can perform
alll these operations using only my left hand (this is the only full-duplex
HT that allows me to do this). I could use the other hand for the antenna.
With a little practice it is very easy and a lot of fun!
