I'd be interested to hear from Phil Karn about the potential of the
10W 1.2GHz transceivers capable of 8 KBPS digital voice or 128
KBPS data being shown (prototypes) at dayton by ICOM?

Apparently the Japanese MFRS are working on a joint standard that
includes 10 MBPS backbones on 10 GHz and they will be building complete
repeater systems etc...

Phil?  How would these radios fit into your all-in-one flying
digital QSO satellite transponder ideas?
