Tom,

Turns out that they are not as I thought.  Of couse I am refering to 
SA1 (solar array number 1).  SA2 and SA3 were different, more 
conventional.  SA1 apparently had small cells "attached" to a 
flexible substrate that was rolled up.  So, the cells were not 
flexible, and the subarrays were not stiched together.
