So right so right! when AO40 was launched and we had the strong 2 meter beacon i had so many people discussing Sat/ham radio whith me but when the Beacon dissapeared so did they!
I think all effort should be to get a mode B, DX satellite easy workable whith modest equipment instead of spending money on a FM bird.
(i understand it is a much bigger cost but if we dont get a good mode B sat i think we are on the way down in members.
It is a real highlight for a ordinary ham to point his
antenna when the sat are on rise or set and hear signal from another continent on his ordinary tropo equipment.
If you hear it!! you for sure want to work it!!
