RE: AMSAT's next LEO satellite



On Thu, 25 Apr 2002, someone reflected a common comment about mode 10/V:

There is no intent to eliminate anyone.

10/V in simplicity, ease of use, relatively constant user power, strong
signal, minimal doppler, easy reception, and low cost transceivers is a
combination that just cannot be beat.

No one is being excluded, since anyone is welcome with open arms to
upgrade to general class amateur radio license.  With the relaxation of
the CW code requirement to 5 WPM, most people can probably pass the
general test with just a weekend of study.
