Re: FIELD DAY

I'd like to second Keith's comments.

Our club will be operating in the QRP/Solar power category from Grid Square
EL98qi as W4NLX. As such we'll be concentrating on FO-20/29 and trying
UO-14 when it is to the South and East for LEO passes. AO-40 has the
potential to make an excellent showing Sunday Morning. Based on a 0/0
attitude it appears we will see about 7 hours of squint angles than 10
degrees and at a nice high elevation as well. Because of our QRP status
we're going to try voice but realize that we'll likely be falling back to
CW. I am also hoping to be set up to operate Feld-Hell on AO-40.

Of course all it takes is a few or even one station to start the UL power
race that we see all too often. Non-voice modes, CW and SSTV, particularly
need to be attentive because LEILA seems much less inclined to provide her
friendly reminder to those modes.

73,
Lee-KU4OS
