FM mode B satellites
If anyone remembers the MIR-Repeater with its 70cm uplink, that is a good
example of having to be on freq. and if you was not you did not get in. It
did not require any more power to get in either (HT's worked fine) you just
had to adjust for the doppler on the uplink to get in, and that did help cut
down on the walking on top of each other.
Todays problem is that there is alot more operaters working the fm birds
than there was 6 or 7 years ago, mode B would be a good way to go.
