Wayne,
I was on AO-40 before I left for work with a couple French stations
about 1315z (a little over two hours ago as I type this). I think both of
them were on 435, as I was. We all had good strong signals through the
bird. My signals were about normal. I started without the amp, and was
quite a bit weaker than the station I was talking to. when I turned my amp
on, I was about the same signal strength as the other stations (that's
about normal). Just prior to me calling the first of the French stations,
he was talking to a British station who said he was uplinking on L band and
he also had a good strong signal.
