Hi Bob,

True - the duty cycle is low, but it would still make me nervous.  Besides
the RF exposure, I expect there's quite a voltage at the tips of the
elements.

So, thanks to all for the comments and math.  I still think I'll stay down
here in the shack, with the antennas on the roof, hoping to zap the
squirrels as they romp on the shingles and gnaw on my coax (but that's 
another
story...)

Doesnt duration also factor into the equation?
THe duty cycle for satelltie QSO's is extremely low....
