RE: PSAT for Palm Pilot

Fischer has done a terrific job and it works on AO-40
and AO-10 as far as I can tell. I run mine on an
M125 and notice no hesitation whatsoever but this
is a late generation model running Palm OS 4.0.
The subsat point, footprint, <AND> location horizon
are all painted on the tiny screen most effectively.

Fischer is APPARENTLY an amateur or at least the web
page seems to imply that he is since he also has a
morse trainer:

He does not publish his call.

BEWARE!! As of version 1.2, Palm OS 2.0 is no
longer supported. 3.0 (Palm V, VII, etc.) and
4.0 (M125, M500, M505) are supported as well
as others running these operating systems.

Subject: [amsat-bb] PSAT for Palm Pilot

Has anybody ever used PSAT to track AO40 on a Palm Pilot? The documentation
says that it "works for both low earth orbiting and geo-synchronous
satellites". Does that mean it DOESN'T work for high elliptical orbits?

Would an old first-generation Palm Pilot have enough horsepower to run this
program?

Unlike Pocketsat, PSAT generates a world map display showing the
sub-satellite point, footprint, and ground track. One display parameter can
be configured to show either Range or Doppler. Another nice feature
determines the next AOS/LOS times over the next 12 hours.
