Hello!
This morning I had a short non-QRL window and was successful in
listening to the 144.1 MHz intruder satellite at 10:57 UT in JO30xv.
The satellite was audible weak for only two minutes in western
direction. At http://www.celestrak.com I found a matching keps-set
beneath the last 30 days launches for the satellite BADR-B. It matches
the already given reports from NA and VK. On a BADR-B website at
http://www.suparco.gov.pk/sat_badr2.htm
I found: "Pakistan's second satellite Badr-II, was successfully
injected into the earth orbit at 10:30 pm (PST) on Monday, 10th of
December 2001 from Russian Cosmodrome at Baikonour, Kazakistan on a
Zenit-2 rocket." On one of the images of this site you can see a small
information showing a VHF-transmitter and VHF-antenne.
As some of you might remember in the early 90s there already was a
BADR-satellite from Pakistan, which seemed to be a blueprint clone of
UO-11, intruding into our 2 m band.
Have a try with this set of elements and watch out:
