I am saddened to report that long time satellite enthusiast and DXer Craig
Mellinger (N2MNA) of Parsippany, NJ died in his sleep on January 10th, 2002.

Craig developed Parkinson's disease several years ago. His condition forced
him to retire early from his job in sales.

According to his wife Lorraine, Craig's condition worsened after the
holidays. He was no longer able to do the things he loved the most including
enjoying conversation and even eating.

Craig was a good and loyal friend and remained an active ham as long as he
was able. Craig enjoyed rag chewing and DXing on the AO-13 Mode B
transponder. His sense of humor and cheery nature combined with his
willingness to be helpful will be sorely missed by all of his friends in
amateur radio.
