Neat idea...but...

The ISS's perigee is 385km. AO-40 reaches perigee at just over 1000km.
AO-40 is roughly 6 feet in diameter...it'll take more than a little
Coolpix 990 to see a 6 foot object at 700km.

Unfortunately, the two can never even get that close because of the very
different orbits.
