[amsat-bb] FT-736R Mods?

I've read through all the SIG archives and gleaned as much as possible.  Is 
there a site somewhere that has a comprehensive list of mods, upgrades, maybe 
a user group for this radio?  I've heard mention of a MuTek mod, what is that 
all about?  Has anyone sent their rig back to Yaesu to have it brought up to 
current specs, is it worthwhile?
