RE: Converter Protector from SSB Electronic
Doug,
Yes I have used, and love the RF-Protector. More important, IT WORKS. I blew
up a uek-3000, then installed the protector and have inadvertently keyed the
transmitter tens of times. Everything A OK...
Now I want to pull it apart and see what is inside!!
By the way, place it right at the output of the rig, not out at the D/C.

Subject: [amsat-bb] Convertor Protector from SSB Electronic
Hello,
The December QST has a review (page 58) of the "RF-Power Protector"
sold by SSB Electronics USA. It's a little box with two N connectors
that goes between your transceiver and your downconvertor, and
lets the receive signal through while blocking any transmitter
power over 150 mW. Cost: $60.
This sounds incredibly useful. Has anyone tried one?
