Those are to lock wire the connector in place for critical applications.
Keeps vibration from loosening the connector.  The chassis connector
would be installed with fillister head screws with a similar hole in
them. Never seen it done.

OK, I give up.  what are those little pin holes around the outer lip of
a
quality "N"  connector?  THey are at 45 degrees and truely pin size.
