Hello all:
First thing with "any" R.F. device/s...i have learned that removing the
B+ from the
P.A. and applying any drive through those devices will "usually" create
undesired impedance mismatches, and even harmonics from the unpowered
devices.
Using the 2510 without the B+ powering the final amp stage/s is never a
good or sound idea, it is simple, but can also be costly in the long
run.
Just yank the B+, and ALSO cut the drive input to the P.A. and run the
R.F. from the exciter output directly to the antenna port; a bit more
involved, but MUCH safer over
all.
