Word!...Uh, I mean "Hear, hear, well-said!".
Anybody who builds a K-band receive capability will probably be a
"microwave experimenter" by definition. :-)
Whether there will be only "a few" depends on how accessable we can
make the technology, and what the perceived benefits are.
Now that there's a good reason to try, I think we'll see a lot of
interest in K-band RX...especially among folks like me who got their
feet wet in S-band when the AO-40 V-TX tanked on us, and found out that
S-band RX wasn't such a big deal..
