Re: 2.4 GHz Reception Indoors?



I haven't heard of anyone doing this but there will be two problems. Wood is
very lossy at 2.4 Ghz so the signal will be attenuated considerably. The
second problem is that the roof will radiate at a temperature of 290 K as
opposed to the sky temperature of 3 K at 2.4 GHz. This will raise the
background noise level.

Can you put a thin plastic radome on the roof and tell the neighbors it's a
greenhouse?
