Bob:
I have a DEM converter plus a DEM preamp. The DEM converter
comes with an RCA jack that serves as an alternate power
input (for bench testing I guess). I replaced that with an F
connector and moved the power lead to the point where the
power comes in from the IF connector. On the preamp, I
drilled a hole and installed a chassis F connector, and
connected it to where the power would come in thru the coax
feed. A waterproof F jumper between the two units completes
the circuit.
I also added an F connector on my 3733 for the same purpose.
Seems to work fine. No splitter required.
Original idea came from Don, W4VQA.
