fresh Guiana / 2.4GHz news

Ariane 4 flight 143 will carry Intelsat 902 in a few weeks. Here is the
newly posted link to the satellite's 'family portrait'.
 http://www.arianespace.com/us/news/indexlog.htm
Check out: (1) how its wings are folded up; (2) how there are two dishes
folded back against the narrower sides, that must deploy, but where are the
feedhorns? (3) how the two fixed dishes appear to have substantial
sub-reflectors ahead of them on rod-mounts (or, are these swing-in
reflectors for the big dishes?); (4) And, are the 'bells' with the yellow
coverings (right of photo) horns or rockets?

Made by Space Systems / Loral, this is one of their the "1300" series
(designed for 13 years on station). Here is their 'brochure' (64kB .PDF)
 http://www.ssloral.com/products/intlsat9.pdf that particularises and
 expands on this general info

how-to info, and pix of measurements, go in through

 Best wishes,

 PS:
I have temporarily 'lost control' of my own web site at www.Geocities.com
 <http://www.Geocities.com> .
It began with a forgotten password but 'escalated' from there...
Any advice on how to get Geocities/Yahoo to respond to emails would be
 greatly appreciated!
