[amsat-bb] AO-40 S1

I worked through AO-40 this evening on orbit 353. Squint angles were
favourable from my location (IO91SI) and the S1 downlink was excellent!
Working mode U/S1 I was able to copy the MB at S9 and most other stations at
about S5-7 above the noise at about S3-4. When the S2 downlink was switched
back on at MA=80 I was able to copy the MB at about S8 but almost all other
stations were lost in the noise.

Set Up:-

Yaesu FT-847
70cm Up with 100W into 19 Element Yagi
13cm Down with 17 Turn RHCP Helix (SSB UEK-3000 Down converter with 144MHz
IF)

23cm Uplink with 10W into 12 Turn RHCP Helix could not make the trip!
(Shame - Had hoped to use the TS-2000)
