We Japanese had the first chance at yesterday night, The S1 downlink
was excellent! I switched my receiveing antenna from 80cm Dish to single
29ele LOOP Yagi (with Preamp), and I could contact on SSB with only 5W
U-band uplink (with 13dB 11ele crossed-Yagi).
I got apair of AO40RCV FFT capture image, one is just before the MA=44
and the other is just after.
MA=44 S2-MB -> S1-EB

MA=80 S1-EB -> S2-MB

This images and the indication of S-meter of my rig did say taht the
S1-EB was 4-5dB stronger than S2-MB. But I felt that the passband
signals was much more better. Maybe the S1-EB is not so much high-level
output as S2-MB (+8dB).
At around 15:00z, I heard the CW signal of TA1D and also the FIRST
DX PILEUP on AO-40 Hi.
We are also having that chance now, but I'm in my office and will
not return home until the S1 is on.... My next chance is next Thursday.
